Swimwear recommendations for different breast shapes
When choosing new underwear or a swimsuit top, it is very important to understand the shape of your breasts, as this will determine how comfortable you will feel in the product. Like all other parts of the body, breasts are very different and come in different shapes (yes, there is a broader division than ''large'' or ''small'' breasts). About seven main breast shapes could help women choose which type of bra, or swimsuit top would be more suitable or, conversely, which type should be avoided.
Round breasts - these could be called the perfect breasts - round breasts are equally full above and below, with a slight projection at the nipple. They can be called the perfect breasts, as there are no bad or unsuitable bra models for this shape. Round breasts do not require shaping and structuring, so there is no need to choose bras with underwires. We suggest buying thin, lightly padded bras without underwires. "East-West" shape (breast ends "looking" to the side) - this description is for outward-facing breasts with a small space between the breasts in the center of the front. This breast shape is more common in women with smaller breast sizes. However, this breast shape can be easily changed with the help of a bra. Thin, lightly padded bras with underwires are suitable, as well as moulded cup bras, which help to create a round breast shape. Sideways breasts - similar to the previous shape, but in this case, the breasts are fuller and the space between them is usually larger. This shape can also achieve an excellent décolleté and a neat, round shape. For smaller and firm breasts, push-up bras that lift the breasts upwards and shape them towards the center of the front would be suitable. For larger breasts, side support is essential to ensure a more stable lateral fit and to shape the breasts closer to the center of the front. The shape of a drop - the breast is rounded and full at the bottom and slightly smaller at the top. For this breast shape, there are different bra options. A padded balconette-style bra with underwires will fit perfectly and give you amazing cleavage thanks to the support from underneath where the breasts are the fullest. Also suitable are sports-style, non-wired bras that cover the whole breast well enough and provide the necessary support from the lower part of the breast. Slim-shaped breasts - the breasts are the same width at the chest and in the nipple area. They are slightly fuller at the bottom, slightly thinner at the top, vertical in shape and the nipples point downwards. This shape is typical for small and medium-breasted women. Padded bras with underwires should be recommended for these breasts to help shape them into a neat round shape. For everyday wear, we recommend light and thin bras without underwires. The shape of a bell – bell-shaped breasts are narrower at the top and broader, and fuller at the bottom. Similar to the shape of a drop, this shape is more typical of large-breasted women. Full breasts will require a very supportive bra, for example, a bra with underwires that covers the whole breast well and is also high enough in the center of the front - this type of bra is called a full cup bra. The bra may be thin, lightly padded, or have a padded moulded bowl. To avoid the appearance of double breasts, balconette-style bras should not be chosen. Asymmetrical breasts – As strange as it may sound, or as much as we may not want to admit it, almost every woman has one breast bigger than the other. If the size difference is small (within one breast size), it is not so visible. It is important to remember that the bra should fit the larger breast, not the smaller one. If the difference between the breasts is more than one size, then there is a distinct asymmetrical breast type for which an appropriate bra should be specifically chosen. For asymmetrical breasts, soft bras with or without underwires and with adjustable shoulder straps will help adjust each cup’s fit to each breast. Also suitable are bras with removable padding, which can be removed on the larger side for a symmetrical breast appearance.
